Ecological Outcome Verification
COSTS
HOW ARE UVE’s EOV MONITORING COSTS CALCULATED?
The cost for Short and Long-Term EOV Monitoring events varies based on several factors:
The size of the landbase in acres, the type of monitoring event (Baseline, STM, or LTM),
and the # of monitoring sites.
Baseline Monitoring (Year 0) includes additional billable tasks such as landbase mapping,
strata definition, and the development of a Monitoring Plan.Costs also vary based on whether the data is recorded using the BART technology
or Savory’s manual process.Any soil lab fees will be billed to the land steward at cost.
Monitor travel expenses (mileage/food/lodging) will be billed to the land steward at cost.
CAN I DO MY OWN MONITORING?
Land stewards who have completed Savory coursework, including an EOV Monitor Training, and are Accredited Professionals may perform their own short-term monitoring.
The roles of Monitor and Hub Verifier cannot be filled by the same individual.
Land stewards may only perform short-term monitoring on their landbase(s).
WHO ELSE CAN DO MONITORING?
Land stewards may employ or directly contract with individuals to complete their monitoring
as long as they fulfill the requirements for an
Affiliate EOV Monitor.
