Ecological Outcome Verification
COSTS

HOW ARE UVE’s EOV MONITORING COSTS CALCULATED?

The cost for Short and Long-Term EOV Monitoring events varies based on several factors:

  • The size of the landbase in acres, the type of monitoring event (Baseline, STM, or LTM),
and the # of monitoring sites.

  • Baseline Monitoring (Year 0) includes additional billable tasks such as landbase mapping,
strata definition, and the development of a Monitoring Plan.

  • Costs also vary based on whether the data is recorded using the BART technology
    or Savory’s manual process
    .

  • Any soil lab fees will be billed to the land steward at cost.

  • Monitor travel expenses (mileage/food/lodging) will be billed to the land steward at cost.

CAN I DO MY OWN MONITORING?

  • Land stewards who have completed Savory coursework, including an EOV Monitor Training, and are Accredited Professionals may perform their own short-term monitoring.

  • The roles of Monitor and Hub Verifier cannot be filled by the same individual.

  • Land stewards may only perform short-term monitoring on their landbase(s).

WHO ELSE CAN DO MONITORING?

  • Land stewards may employ or directly contract with individuals to complete their monitoring
as long as they fulfill the requirements for an
    Affiliate EOV Monitor.
