• We chose to be a for-profit business to better understand most of our clients and communities--which are small, family-owned land-based businesses. Hey, that sounds just like us!

• We believe that running a for-profit business keeps us lean, creative, entrepreneurial, and true to our work and mission.

• Dependence on grant funding can lead well-meaning folks and organizations away from their core mission. 
  We've worked for non-profits and managing grants does not fit within our personal holistic context.
