SHOULD WE CHANGE?

WHAT WOULD THE NEW NAME BE?

We reached out to our network and saved & documented every single response.

We read through these responses time and time again, as we worked through the decision.

We felt gratitude and warmth from this outpouring of support during a sensitive moment for us.

We sat with the discomfort of indecision. The unclear, unknowing moments. The fear of change. The insecurity of a big leap.

We walked, we got outside, we listened.

We read our holistic context. Again and again.

OUR STATEMENT OF PURPOSE FROM OUR HOLISTIC CONTEXT:

To uplift the voice of the Ecosystem in a way that enduring  well-being is created by encouraging holistic decisions so that all beings may be the full expression of themselves.

Drawing on our statement of purpose, we created

UVE (PRONOUNCED OF-EE)

It is a sound, a greeting, a toast, a wish, a way of being.

It is not an acronym, it is its own name.

It is not trendy, political, or tied to another meaning in our minds because it is a completely new word.

When we say it, we smile.

We remember that we are here to Uplift the Voice of the Ecosystem.

We are flush with the energy that comes from connection to a beloved purpose.

As soon as we said it together, and felt that happiness, we knew.

This was our name.

The decision passed the “gut feel” context check.

After running through other context checks, we concluded:

  • The name reflects who we are, unleashing greater energy within us through this alignment. This outweighs the hassle of legal, governmental and administrative paperwork, and the potential social weak links created by shedding our old name and identity.

  • We are avoiding future social weak links by removing the liability of being associated with, and the perception of passively accepting, white supremacy.

  • By more clearly communicating and representing who we are, it will attract people who we are aligned with, allowing us to connect in the right ways at the right time, to create the outcomes we all desire.

2021 was a year of birthing growth and abundance,
of living in the balance of pressure and release, of death, grieving, and letting go, and of honest reflection upon the decay which will feed the life which is to come.

Thank you for continuing this journey with us.
