Join us for a transformative, hands-on training experience designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge to effectively monitor land health using the Ecological Outcome Verification (EOV) protocol. Hosted by UVE and guided by accredited Savory Hub Verifiers and Field Professionals, this comprehensive course empowers you to track and assess key ecological indicators that drive sustainable land management.

LEARNING OUTCOMES:

  • Implement the EOV protocol to assess ecological health across diverse landscapes

  • Techniques for measuring soil health, biodiversity, and ecosystem function

  • Practical methods for data collection, reporting, and ongoing monitoring

  • Interpreting and communicating EOV findings to stakeholders

  • Hands-on monitoring techniques led by experienced verifiers

Prerequisites: complete self-paced Holistic Management Foundations course

Cost: $1750 for online + field training for EOV Monitoring Course, prerequisite course cost not included

Lodging Information: Please book your own lodging at the Fort Bidwell Hotel, or plan to camp onsite, or nearby in the Modoc National Forest, there are AirBnBs available in Fort Bidwell (and here), Lake City (20 minute drive) or Cedarville (30 minute drive). 

Meals Information: Coffee, tea, breakfast snacks provided, lunch also provided as part of the cost of the course. Please plan for your own dinners (and breakfast if you need more than a light breakfast). The Fort Bidwell Hotel has a restaurant that is open all days of the course for breakfast, lunch and dinner. If you plan to cook your own meals, there are two larger grocery stores in Alturas (Grocery Outlet and Holiday Market), and a smaller market in Cedarville. There is also a local food hub that delivers to Fort Bidwell. Orders need to be made the Friday before (July 11), for delivery to Fort Bidwell on the following Friday (July 18). The UVE crew is happy to pick up orders as needed.
