Join Us for a free webinar: Equine Impact Panel: Rethinking Myths Surrounding Horses and Grassland Health
Are horses really bad for grasslands? Join us for a powerful and myth-busting conversation that brings together two dynamic leaders in regenerative grazing. Gavin, a holistic grazier from New South Wales, Australia, has spent 25 years restoring over 6,500 acres through cell-grazing and holistic management of horses, sheep, and cattle. As founder of Serum Australis, he’s proving that horses can not only coexist with healthy grasslands—but help rejuvenate them. He’ll be joined by Meg Greski, a regenerative agriculture educator and multi-talented rancher from western Oklahoma. With experience in 43 U.S. states and a résumé ranging from ranch bronc rider to educator for the Oklahoma Conservation Commission, Meg runs Eleven Fifteen Livestock, grazing cattle, goats, and horses. Her work has been featured in Stockman Grass Farmer, Acres USA, OnPasture.com, and the Working Cows Podcast. Don’t miss this rare opportunity to hear Gavin and Meg share insights, stories, and science that challenge old assumptions and offer new hope for the future of horses and land stewardship.
There will also be a Q&A session for those joining us live. Register to get early access to the recording.
MEET OUR PANELISTS:
Meg Greski
After graduating from West Virginia University, Meg Greski started her career in regenerative agriculture as Greg Judy's mob grazing intern in Missouri. She operated Rhinestone Cattle Co. in the northeast US before moving to Oklahoma in 2019. In studying American agriculture, Meg has been to 43 states and worked as an artificial insemination tech, a veterinary assistant, farm and ranch hand, and intern for Understanding Ag. She is a two-time guest on Clay Conry's "Working Cows Podcast" and a two-time presenter at the National Grazing Lands Coalition's conferences. Her articles have been published in the Stockman Grass Farmer, Acres USA and OnPasture.com. Meg now grazes cattle, goats and horses in western Oklahoma as owner of Eleven Fifteen Livestock. She works as a regenerative ag educator for the Oklahoma Conservation Commission, and partners with her best friend in Those Guys Rodeo Company out of Canyon, TX. She is a ranch bronc rider, classic car enthusiast and "mom" to an Italian Greyhound named Roxanne.
Gavin Heywood
Gavin is a holistic grazier who operates a family-owned and operated farm enterprise on 6500 acres in the North West of NSW, Australia. For twenty five years he has been on a restorative path to grow healthy systems from the soil to stock, seeing considerable reasons for implementing regenerative practises without compromising on business goals. His company, Serum Australis, uses cell-grazing and holistic methods to run 240 horses (in one herd), 200 sheep and fluctuating numbers of cattle to provide blood products for the biomedical industry, exporting world-wide. It is no lie to say that he is continuously hungry to learn how to work with nature for optimum results that benefit the land and the people it sustains.
